Bridging the Healthcare Equity Gap in Oregon

In Oregon, income shouldn’t determine whether you suffer from chronic pain. Yet breakthrough treatments for chronic conditions—from persistent migraines to peripheral neuropathy—remain out of reach for families who need them most, with typical integrative care plans costing thousands of dollars.

We’re changing that.

ReImagine Healthcare addresses social determinants of health by eliminating income-based barriers to care. Through research-backed education, community resources, and direct support, we empower families to understand their conditions and access solutions that actually work—not just manage symptoms with medication.

When families are in pain entire communities suffer. We believe healthcare equity means everyone deserves access to treatments that address root causes, not just those who can pay out of pocket.

“We can help you reimagine what is possible in your health and the health of your community.”

Dr. Noah Volz,

Founder, Director of Reimagine Healthcare

Your Pain Is Real. And You Deserve Answers

Many Southern Oregon families struggling with chronic pain face:

  • 6-12 month waits to see pain specialists in our rural region
  • Treatments that only mask symptoms with medications instead of addressing root cause
  • Integrative approaches that cost thousands out-of-pocket with no insurance coverage
  • Doctors who dismiss you or say “it’s just stress” when tests come back normal
  • Isolation and hopelessness from years of failed treatments

The truth: Modern pain science shows that chronic pain is often a nervous system pattern that can be changed—but this knowledge remains locked behind expensive clinics and paywalls.

Our mission: Make that knowledge free and accessible to every family in Southern Oregon, regardless of income.

Research shows that when people understand the neuroscience of pain—how the brain and nervous system create and maintain pain signals—they can begin to retrain these patterns. But most doctors don’t have time to explain this, and most integrative practitioners charge rates that put them out of reach.

ReImagine Healthcare bridges this gap by providing:

We Specialize in Chronic Pain Conditions That Conventional Medicine Often Can’t Solve

Chronic Pain & Fibromyalgia – Widespread pain that won’t go away

Migraines & Persistent Headaches – Debilitating head pain affecting daily life

Post-Concussion Syndrome & TBI – Lasting symptoms after head injuries

Back & Neck Pain – Pain that persists after injuries heal

Nerve Pain & Neuropathy – Burning, tingling, or shooting pain

Post-Surgical Chronic Pain – Pain that continues long after surgery

What connects these conditions? They’re all influenced by nervous system patterns that can be changed through education, specific practices, and integrative approaches—if you have access to the right information and resources.

Common Questions About ReImagine Healthcare

Is this really free? Yes. All our educational content, workshops, newsletters, podcasts, and resource navigation services are completely free. We’re a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded by donations and grants—not by selling you treatments. We will from time to time promote our funders and community organizations.

Do you provide medical treatment? No. We provide education about pain neuroscience and connect you to qualified practitioners in Southern Oregon. We don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe. Always work with licensed healthcare providers for medical decisions.

What is pain neuroscience education? It’s the scientific understanding of how pain works in your brain and nervous system. Research shows that understanding pain mechanisms can reduce pain itself—knowledge is therapeutic. We make this research accessible to everyone.

I’ve tried everything. How is this different? Most treatments focus on the body part that hurts. Pain neuroscience focuses on how your nervous system processes pain signals. When chronic pain persists after injuries heal, it’s often because the nervous system has learned persistent pain patterns—and what’s learned can be unlearned.

Will my doctor think I’m crazy if I mention this? More doctors are learning about pain neuroscience, but not all have time to explain it. We help you communicate effectively with your providers and find practitioners who understand integrative approaches.

What if I can’t afford integrative care even with your help? We connect you to practitioners offering sliding-scale fees, insurance-covered options, and free community resources. Our education itself is a form of treatment—understanding pain changes pain.

Do you only serve Jackson County? Our primary focus is Southern Oregon (Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath counties), but anyone can access our free online resources, newsletter, and podcast.
